Gianno Feoli
Adjunct Professor
Gianno Feoli has a Master’s in Landscape Architecture degree in 2002 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies in 1998, both from Florida International University. During his time at FIU, he earned a professional Award of Excellence from the American Society of Landscape Architecture’s Florida Chapter. As President of FIU’s ASLA Chapter, he focused efforts on conducting community outreach programs and pro-bono projects, earning him a commendation from the City of Miami in honor for his participation in the Little Haiti Park Charrette.
His civic-minded, community service work has continued through into his professional career, where he acted as organizer and moderator of several projects, including the New River Redevelopment Charrette, South Dade Greenways AIA 150 Charrette, and Gilda’s Club. As Director of the Calvin Giordano & Associates, Inc. Urban Design Services Department, he leads the multi-office, multi-disciplinary firm in conducting urban design projects, contextual analysis, urban redevelopments, and site and architectural designs.
His leadership, design and involvement in projects have earned the firm several Awards of Excellence and recognitions throughout the region. His experience includes Historic Landscape Preservation Landscape and Site Planning, Hardscape Design, Graphic Design and Presentation, Recreational Facilities Design, Municipal Review and Inspection Ser- vices, Site Feasibility Studies, Site Analysis Evaluations, Historic Preservation Guidelines, Town Center and Lifestyle Center Master Plans, Transit- Oriented Development Master Plans, Greenways and Trails Network Designs, Streetscapes and Main Streets, Recreational Networks Designs, Way-finding Systems and Signage Designs, Form-Based Codes Design Guidelines, Community Development Master Plans, Neigh- borhood Improvement Master Plans System-Wide Open Space Master Plans, Regional Environmental Master Plans, Regional Tree and Beautification Master Plans, Land Stew- ardship Master Plans, and Community Charrette Services. Gianno has taught as an Adjunct Faculty at Florida International University’s Landscape Architecture Department since 2003, mostly teaching graduate level design courses and technical courses both for graduates and undergraduates.
