Ebru Ozer
Assistant Professor
Ebru holds an MLA from Louisiana State University, an architecture degree from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey, and a degree from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey majoring in Physics. Her most recent work and research, within the context of the redevelopment of New Orleans post Katrina, has concentrated on the redevelopment of education institutions and green infrastructure as foundations for rebuilding a city. Other interests lie in the investigation of how urban infrastructure can become environmentally and contextually aware in its design. A recent theoretical project looked at the historical hydrology of the New Orleans region and attempted to reconnect the city with its natural systems buried by the existing urban fabric. The research investigated how the region would be better served through the integration of its urbanity and natural ecologies.
